Progress Tracking

For those of us who are using Pactful in the context of a course you might find assessing progress to be difficult. We’ve discussed several different approaches to this problem.

CMU has released information about a similar issue going on in computer science classes. Essential a series of questions helps identify student progress and reports it through a journey map.

I think it would be interesting to see if this approach could be used with design thinking. It would give us individual insight into progress when students are collaborating on group projects.

Thank you for sharing, Stephen! I just sent their team a note to see if I can get access and learn more. At a minimum, this sounds like an incredibly useful tool for teaching CS but I can see how their integrated approach helps not only in understanding the journey but also can facilitate ongoing learning by “crowdsourcing” feedback.
